Saddlebrook Dressage Show and Deep Run Trial

There were so many awesome results that I can gladly not pick a Oakdale Star..

Margaret Wilson went to the VADA dressage schooling show at Saddlebrook. Margaret moved up to First level.
She won her First Level 1 class with a 71.2% an...
d got a 68.2% in her First Level 3 class... they were the First Level Champions of the show!!! Lisa Helped her all day.

The Team also competed at Deep Run Horse Trial.
Declan and I moved up to Training and were first in Dressage and were clear stadium & xcountry to win.
Hannah Hill took Jimmy Training also and were 2nd with double clear stadium & xcountry. We were the only two clear on a hard xcountry course. WooHoo.

Lindsey rode in her first competition with Liam and first novice ever. They were 4th after dressage, 2nd after stadium and went clean xcountry with a minor technical elimination by jumping an off course jump. They would have gotten second.

Nancy Grey had a wonderful 29 winning dressage score in Beginner novice . She put the SBG to work and had double clear in stadium & xcountry to also win.

Sara Graves and Scooby completed the intro division. This was their first horse trial and Sara rode like a eventer. She had her SBG in full force also.

We lost a valuable part of Oakdale on January 7th when Red Dog fell thru the ice on the pond and died.

This is what one of Red Dog's Boarder friends wrote about him:

Ode to Red Dog

You exited as you arrived

An unanswered question

In the beginning you were a vision

Something people saw at a distance

Then you became a dog

Finally you became Red Dog

We didnít know your name

Not that it was important

Because you finally grew to trust us

Never completely

Except for a trusted few people

Then there were the other dogs

They were your friends

And you theirs

Forming a little group

Who took care of one another

We could see things in your eyes

We didnít want to know

As you came to trust me

I counted it as special

Because you were careful

About just who was your friend

You always kept a distance

So you could escape

If the problem occurred again

Your buddies at the farm left you

As they passed on

They were waiting for you

When your time came

As you left us here

Wondering why

Knowing there is no answer

Iíll still look for you

Because you will always be

The official greeter at the farm

Thanks for sharing

A part of your short time with me
