Hooch is a Paint/Arab cross. Tish and Hooch are showing Training Level, and did very well at the 2013 Virginia Arabian Horse Association Show. |
Great day at the Event at Kelly's Ford! No jumping faults for all of the Oakdale Event Team! Declan with Mark aboard were 1st in their novice division and Terry and Liam were 8th in their training division (some time faults kept from 3rd) on a maxed out course. (Kelly's Ford bidding for Area II championships). And last but not least, Emily and Eclipse were also 1st in their novice division (even through the rain during jumping phases). We love our Irish horses!

Emily Schlake won the Aspen perpetual trophy for best partnership between horse and rider at the Virginia regional pony club show jumping rally. There were over 100 riders. Her team also won horse management first place.

Oakdale Farm Team of Liam Irwin, Megan Balzer and her friend Meghan Hanrahan won the hunter pace!!!!! Grover Taylor was awarded his colors from Deep Run also.

Mark Combs improved everyone's show jumping skills this March weekend at Oakdale Equestrian Center in a CVACTA clinic. 25 riders enjoyed the nice weather while practicing corners, bounce jumps and skinny jumps .

From Goochland: Cross James River on Rt. 522 (Maidens Road). Just past gas station at Huguenot Trail turn on Cosby Road. Cosby changes names to Cartersville Road at 4 miles. Go 4 more miles & farm is on left.
